Compatibles vs. Remanufactured

>> Thursday, December 10, 2009

Some people believe that compatible ink or toner cartridges are the same as remanufactured ink or toner cartridges. According to them, compatible ink or toner cartridges use mostly new parts so, in effect, they are not new cartridges.

We, at Color Toner Expert, can make the differences between compatible ink or toner cartridge and remanufactured cartridge clearer. Our line of compatible ink or toner cartridges are guaranteed new, not remanufactured. We make use of brand-new parts to produce cheaper toners and inks for your printing needs. All compatible toner and ink cartridges that we carry are guaranteed to be U.S.-made.

Technically, compatible toner and ink cartridges are new. They are called “compatibles” because they have been manufactured by third-party manufacturers and not by printer manufacturers. Most of the compatible ink or toner cartridges available in the market have been tested to meet OEM specifications and quality. In fact, some of them may even exceed the performance of their OEM equivalents.

Compatible toners are cheaper because they do not carry the expensive brand names that come with their OEM counterparts.

Remanufactured toner or ink cartridges, on the other hand, are also economical alternatives to expensive OEM brands. As the term “remanufactured” implies, these make use of used cartridges which are disassembled, cleaned and reassembled for re-use. All cartridges have been inspected to see which parts need to be replaced. The re-assembled cartridges are then refilled with toners or ink for re-selling.
Color Toner Expert’s line of remanufactured toner or ink cartridges are guaranteed reliable and have undergone quality assurance measures.
