Cartridge-Less Printing is the New Frenzy in Hawaii

>> Friday, January 15, 2010

Any conversation about printers is most likely to range from the best printer deals in town to the steep costs of printer cartridges. Well, the prices of printer cartridges can be really heavy on the budget. Maybe this is one of the reasons why the introduction of cartridge-less printers has caught the public's attention.

Hawaii has recently gotten a taste of cartridge-free printing, courtesy of Xerox. The company launched its ColorQube series in Hawaii and the response has probably caused the Xerox sales team to jump and cry with joy. Just to prove that the ColorQube can really sell, the demand for this new type of printer in Hawaii has even surpassed the goals and expectations of the Xerox itself.

According to Glenn Sexton, Xerox Hawaii Vice President and General Manager, the local demand for ColorQube was phenomenal because within the first week of launching, sales goals were already bypassed by more than 100%. This comes as no surprise since the Hawaiians are probably taking advantage of the Xerox ColorQube’s unique features particularly the solid ink technology. This printer device is cartridge-less and as such, the cost-per-page is cut by as much as 62% as compared to traditional printers. Aside from this, the print quality is excellent and it contributes 90% less waste.

The Xerox ColorQube series is highly-recommended for office use since the reduction in printer cartridge cost means more ROI.
