Everything about Color Toner Cartridges

When you have your own printer or you are the one in charge of purchasing the printer cartridges, most of the time, you do not really pay attention on the added details unless it has something to do with purchasing the item. Nevertheless, there are a lot of interesting facts about these consumables especially the color toners. Here are some of those ideas that may amuse you next time you buy your ink or toner.

1. CYMK is the color model used by most printer cartridges which stands for cyan, yellow, magenta, and black. These colors are mixed together to create different color combinations for your printouts

2. The black cartridge is called the key color because the printing plates of the other colors are keyed to the black one. This makes the black toner or ink independent and does not need the support of other colors.

3. The black color saves more on ink. When you are using a color printer, you can save on the other cartridges because the black can be used on almost any printing material. Meanwhile, if you do not have this cartridge, the other colors can still make black but this will consume more from your ink or toner because these will combine to create the desired color.

4. Avoid using only the three colors because your printout might look like it’s too wet from ink or toner. There can also be the tendency for the colors to smudge because the drying process will be longer than usual.

5. When you notice that your printed works are a little light or lack some colors, this will be your clue in changing your printer cartridges. Probably your color toners are about to reach their limitations so be ready with spare ones. Try remanufactured types to save on the budget while getting high quality prints.

Almost all things have their own set of amusing stories and trivias. You just have to take a little more time in understanding a product’s nature especially when it has become a part of your life already, like the printer and its cartridges.
