How do You dispose your Printer Cartridge?

>> Tuesday, June 15, 2010

On a project conducted in Australia, people have two ways of disposing their printer cartridges like the HP toners or Lexmark inks. These cleaning behaviors are usually made either by throwing the empty cartridges in household waste bins or by giving the containers to recycling programs.

The research had results of 33 percent from the population leave their cartridges in trashcans while 14 percent actually turn these over to recycling stores. This is somehow a troublesome number compared to those that contaminate their households with mixed trash. Printer cartridges must be disposed properly to avoid any unhealthy effects on people. In relation to this, the local government has come up with ways to promote the recycling of printer cartridges.

Meanwhile, a lot of stores in the United States of America are offering recycling programs; some are even in partnership with the leading computer and printer makers. This is one of the many movements pursued to keep the landfills from overflowing with trash that is difficult to decompose. It will still be helpful if every printer user will return or donate the used cartridges to available shops.
