Common Laser Printer Errors
>> Wednesday, January 19, 2011
It has already been known that laser printers can do a lot for business or personal use which makes it a top choice when it comes to printing needs. However, you cannot also deny the fact that all printers have their own sets of problems and laser printers are not exempted to the rule.
So if you are somehow worried of what errors you can encounter with your laser printer and also its laser toner cartridges, here are some that might help you identify the problem and troubleshoot it after.
First error is when you have turned on your printer, but it would not start. When this happens, try unplugging it then check the fuses and also the circuit breaker. Try replugging it and if nothing happens, you can check the Device Manager to see if there is an error with the USB connection.
Sometimes the problem could be found on the printer driver. Keep it updated by regularly visiting your printer brand's website for updates. Applying these changes can maintain the performance of your printer.
The third and can be considered as most common printer error is the paper jam. You can try taking off the paper gently to make sure that you won't break any printer part. If it doesn't work, turn the printer off and let it cool for a few minutes so you can take off the toner cartridges and check if there is something that's stopping the paper from coming out.
However, take note that these are not the only printer problems that you would encounter. A specific laser printer can suddenly create troubles that other printers won't do so it will be best for you to always read your printer's manual for proper assistance.
