How to Handle Poor Fixing on Brother HL-3140CW Laser Printer

It is described by Brother Industries as a digital color laser printer “ideal for the business that primarily prints black business documents, but also needs to periodically produce professional-quality color documents in-house.”

      If printer users want to get the best printing quality, it is highly suggested to use the recommended paper for your printing material. Check that you are using paper that meets our specifications.

·     If the Brother HL-3140CW has a problem with its printouts then check if the drum units or the Brother HL-3140CW toner cartridges may not be installed correctly. Check that the drum units or toner cartridges are installed correctly.

3.   Select the Improve Print Output option in Printer Function, and select the Improve Toner Fixing option. Then click OK.

o   For Macintosh users,

2.     Select Print Settings from the pane pop-up menu. Click the Advanced menu and click Improve Print Output.

3.       Select the Improve Toner Fixing option, and click OK.

·         If the last step has not improved the toner fixing in your printouts, change the printer driver setting in Media Type to a thick setting according to the paper you are using.

If the following things hadn’t worked out then turn and check the Brother HL-3140CW laser toner cartridges to make sure they are not empty or are properly installed. Poor-fixed toners are usually caused by this.
